Hey Superfriends! In this blog post, our Superlife Co. Team members share their current favourite spots to eat Quinoa in Singapore. We hope to make this post a blog series where we share our current Quinoa favourites once in a while! 🙂   We want to show you that Quinoa is not just meant to be made as a salad. There are many places in Singapore that offer creative and delicious quinoa dishes that show you just how diverse the superfood can be! Let this be your inspiration to make Quinoa a staple in your diet 😉   1. YOLO @ Tanjong Pagar – Peranakan Veggie Curry (Vegan), $10.90. We love a good curry! But we know that it’s not necessarily the healthiest thing in the world. Since we believe in the mantra “you are what you eat”, discovering a healthy version of curry at YOLO is extremely exciting! The curry is originally served with brown rice, but we personally think that it goes even better with quinoa! Not to mention, changing the carb from brown rice to quinoa doesn’t cost an extra cent, but gives you all the extra nutritious goodness 😉 What is typically chicken as the protein base in a curry, is replaced with tofu, but we don’t think this compromises on it’s taste at all! The gravy is the perfect balance of light and rich, and is very,very flavoursome. The best part is, the curry and quinoa gets you nice and full without leaving you with a food coma.   3. Real Food @ South Beach – Quinoa Lentil Coquette Burger, $13.80 (Vegan) Ingredients: Handmade patty made from roasted walnuts, mushrooms, quinoa, oregano, himalayan lentils. Stacked with fresh greens, homemade tomato sauce, vegan mayo.  Did you know that you can make burgers out of quinoa? Quinoa is high in protein, just like meat. So it’s only natural that we make a vegan burger using quinoa as a meat substitute. This particular burger patty has lentils, walnuts and mushrooms mixed in with the quinoa as well. The mushrooms give the patty a meaty flavour, and the walnuts add more texture. The patty is fried to keep the shape and to make it nice and crunchy, yet still soft and fluffy inside. You get to choose two sides to go along with your burger, and for this, we chose a side of onion rings and potato salad. The size of the sides are small, but honestly, the entire meal is perfectly portioned. Just enough to get you full!
