FLASHBACK to Chef Rizaldy Morales – Superchef Charity Challenge 2016
It’s been a month now since Superlife Co.’s 2nd Anniversary Party in the form of Superchef Charity Challenge 2016. In our belief that there’s no greater gift than the gift of giving back, we decided to throw a fun charity fundraiser on our birthday to celebrate our company. 4 professional chefs volunteered to take part in our event, a friendly cooking competition where the main challenge is to recreate a local dish using Superlife Co.’s White Quinoa.Chef Rizaldy Morales, Afterglow by Anglow One of the chefs we were lucky to have in our event is Chef Rizaldy Morales from Afterglow by Anglow. Chef Rizaldy believes in showing others that healthy food can absolutely be delicious through his cooking in the vegetarian restaurant he heads at Keong Saik Road. He wants to transform people’s negative perception of healthy foods into a positive one, putting less emphasis on the idea of “healthy food” in his dishes and more on the universal idea of deliciousness. Why should we judge food from the word “healthy”, instead of judging it by how it actually tastes? Chef Rizaldy challenges this notion. At Superchef Charity Challenge 2016, he created a beautiful jackfruit quinoa curry with brown rice pilaf. Watch the video below to learn more about his story and his cooking!
