Quinoa Apple Breakfast Bowl

Easy Quinoa Apple Breakfast Bowl


INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup white quinoa
1 apple (chopped)
2 cups water
1/2 cup apple juice (no sugar added)
2 teaspoons pure maple syrup (100%)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup walnuts (chopped and lightly toasted)

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Heat a sauce pot on medium low heat. Add the quinoa and apples
2. Cook for about 5 minutes stirring frequently
3. Add the water and apple juice and bring to a boil
4. Boil for 15 to 20 minutes or until quinoa is tender and water is absorbed
5. Remove from heat and stir in the maple syrup and cinnamon
6. Sprinkle with walnuts and your breakfast is ready! 🍴
