Is it safe for my child to eat Quinoa?
If you’re looking for the short answer – Yes! Quinoa is safe (and great) for children as it is for adults.

Quinoa is a vegetable seed, categorized as the same vegetable family as beetroot and spinach. Not only is it high in nutritional value, it is the rare plant-based complete protein that nature can offer.
Feed your child the best
Most of our mummy customers feed their children quinoa after learning that white rice is simply not healthy.
White rice is high in refined sugar and the nutrients in the grain is lost when it has gone through the process of milling. Moreover, research has shown that white rice is linked to obesity and Type 2 diabetes.
As you know, children tend to eat a lot of sugar from food like ice cream, candies and carbonated drinks. Adding white rice on top of their already high-sugar diet is simply increasing their odds of being diabetic.
So what is the alternative? There are many alternatives that mothers can try but we suggest quinoa because this whole grain seed is low in glycemic index (GI) – the measurement of body sugar levels and can prevent diabetes.
Plus, the texture of our quinoa is similar to that of rice so mums can easily make that switch without any complaints from their little ones. The usual dishes prepared at home such as meat and veggies can simply be added on top of quinoa and fed to the kids.
At the end of the day, the children are our priority. As they have no knowledge on what’s good for them, parents have to step in and provide them with the best so that they can continue to grow and have a healthy life.
