Super Recipe – Chia Seed Mixed Berry Jam

  Do you like summer berries? Do you like jam? If you do, you are sure to LOVE this recipe! This is such a simple and delicious chia seed mixed berry jam recipe. All you need are several easy to find ingredients and you are good to go! Filled with antioxidants from both the berries and chia seeds, this fruity jam is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth cravings at breakfast or as a snack, spread on a slice of warm toast. What’s so good about homemade jam? There are no preservatives, you can control the amount of sugar to your liking and you can use any fruit your heart desires!   (Check out our YouTube video for a visual guide.)   Ingredients – 1 cup raspberries – 1 cup blackberries – 1/2 cup brown sugar – 2 tbsp chia seeds Directions 1. Add the raspberries, blackberries and brown sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil. 2. Let the berry mix simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes until the berries break down and the brown sugar melts. 3. Add the chia seeds into the saucepan and mix for 1 minute. 4. Take the saucepan off the heat and let the berry/chia mixture cool and thicken for about 10 to 15 minutes. 5. Transfer the jam into a jar and it’s ready to be eaten!
