Quinoa v.s. White Rice – A clear winner

Recently, The Straits Times shared that health authorities such as Singapore’s Health Promotion Board and the United States’ Harvard School of Public Health have identified white rice to be one of their main concerns in the war against diabetes. This should not be new to our Superfriends, most of whom already know that besides being a key contributor to blood sugar spikes, (modern) white rice is artificial, lacks nutrients and contributes significantly to one’s calorie intake.

Quinoa always wins because it lies low on the glycemic scale. In addition, it contains 2 times more protein than rice and 4 times more Riboflavin (Vitamin b2) than brown rice. What’s best is that has many types – red, black and white quinoa.

If you haven’t made the switch to quinoa, it’s time to do so! And if you are new to us, join our Super community by following us on Facebook or Instagram to be informed of health-related issues – way ahead of the mainstream press!
