
Super Recipe – Maca Coffee Spare Ribs
Ingredients:
- 1 kg spare ribs
Marinade:
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp plain flour
- 1 tbsp custard powder
- 1 tbsp baking soda
- 200 ml water
- 200 g corn flour
- Vegetable oil
Sauce:
- 2 tbsp maltose
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp instant coffee powder
- 1 tsp maca powder
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 100 ml water
Method:
- Mix spare ribs with marinade and leave it for 3 hours, ideally overnight.
- Deep fry the spare ribs in hot oil until golden brown and drain.
- In a separate pan, add in the and cook for 2 minutes until thickened.
- Toss the spare ribs in the sauce till evenly coated.
- Dish up, garnish and serve.
